Welcome to the Wimbleton Gymnastics Booster Club website.

This site is dedicated to the promotion of the girls and boys competitive teams of Wimbleton Gymnastics.  Here you will find information on upcoming meets, news, events, fundraisers, pictures, etc..  

Parents, please check here and your gymnast's folder often for notes about upcoming booster club meetings.  We need your help to make each season successful.

Gymnasts Earn Honors (Commercial Appeal - 4/19/2007)
On March 17, the Tennessee Men's Gymnastics Meet was held in Chattanooga. The Wimbleton men's gymnastics team, the only men's gymnastics team in Memphis, took several competitors of all ages and levels.

  • Randy Sanders -- Sixth place, Level 5 All-Around
  • Marcell Wierdl -- Third place, Level 6 All-Around
  • Michael Landry -- Fourth place, Level 6 All-Around
  • Cory Takashima -- First place, Level 8 All-Around
  • Austin Hall -- Second place, Level 9 All-Around
  • Bobby Davis -- Fourth place, Level 10 All-Around
  • Adam Zysk -- Second place, Level 10 All-Around
All of the boys received medals in all of the individual events: floor, pommel horse, rings, parallel bars, horizontal bar and vault. Nine of the team members qualified to compete at regionals in Knoxville. The Tennessee state team members from Memphis will be Randy Sanders, Marcell Wierdl, Michael Landry, Cory Takashima, Austin Hall, Bobby Davis and Adam Zysk. Regional qualifiers from the gym also include Blake McMurray and Jonah Linder. They are coached by Bob Murphy, Johnnie Echols and Darin Gerlach.

New Spring Floor - We now have a new spring floor!!!  Thanks to all who helped install the new spring floor this weekend (10/28 -10/29/2006).  It was a lot of hard work tearing out the old floor and installing the new, but we "Got 'Er Dun".   I'm sure Coach Murphy really appreciates the help from the people who did turn out.  This new floor will be enjoyed by all. Pictures

Pictures - If you have any pictures that you would like posted on our booster club website, please put them in Austin Hall's folder.   Add your name, gymnast's name and level, and information about the event.  We'll be sure to get the picture back to you.  If you already have the picture in digital format, you can email the picture with the information to Jon Hall for submission to the booster club website.
